THE HUMAN MIND CANNOT LIVE IN GUILT. THEREFORE IT CREATES A LIE AND THEN GOES ON REPEATING THE LIE TO ITSELF UNTIL IT BELIEVES IN IT
Guilt creates a profound inner conflict that the mind finds intolerable. In response, the mind concocts a falsehood, a narrative that obscures the truth. This fabrication serves as a protective mechanism, shielding the mind from the painful reality of its own shortcomings and mistakes. This process occurs almost unconsciously, as the mind seeks to restore a sense of equilibrium and self-acceptance.
Once the lie is established, the mind begins to repeat it, consciously and unconsciously, until the lie becomes an accepted truth within the individual’s psyche. Through this repetition, the falsehood gains strength and legitimacy, gradually becoming indistinguishable from the original truth. This cycle highlights the mind’s incredible ability to shape perceptions and realities, showcasing both its power and vulnerability. Understanding this process is the first step toward breaking free from the chains of illusion. Let’s pray to Sri Amma bhagavan to understand the illusion of guilt.
