IN THE INNER WORLD ONE HAS TO BE PASSIVE. IN THE EXTERNAL WORLD ONE MUST BE ACTIVE
IN THE INNER WORLD ONE HAS TO BE PASSIVE. IN THE EXTERNAL WORLD ONE MUST BE ACTIVE
In the inner world, one must be completely passive - not inaction, but deep receptivity. To be passive within is to allow life to reveal itself without interference from thought or judgment. It is to watch the movements of the mind and emotion without resistance or control. In that inner stillness, the Divine Presence begins to operate through you. The more passive you are inside, the more grace can flow into your being.
In the external world, however, one must be fully active, dynamic, and responsive. Life calls for participation, for engagement with clarity and purpose. When your inner passivity meets outer activity, your actions arise from intelligence, not from conflict. Such action is effortless and perfect, for it springs from the Divine itself. This is true balance - stillness within, movement without - the hallmark of awakened living. Let’s pray to Sri Ammabhagavan to be active in external world and passive in internal world.
